When I was really little, my parents had a bedroom set -
They bought a beautiful new set and passed their old one on to us girls.
I think each of my sisters and I have each had a turn to store our clothes and cherished items in that set - and somehow as we got older, that bedroom set ended up in storage at my home.
I decided to get it out of storage and put it to good use -
It still has a lot of life if I just show it a little love -
So this weekend I will be sanding and puttying and priming and painting - and waiting impatiently for it to dry so I can have my hubby haul it all upstairs to our bedroom!

It will be beautiful when you are finished with it. You will remember your parents every time you use it.
Working on a dresser re-do myself, but am having issues!!! So typical for me :)

Lovely!! A nice-sized project to complete in a couple of days.
I'm working on re-doing my kitchen cupboards.. going from 80's oak to a white with brushed nickel hardware.. big big job.. I can only work on 4 doors at a time, and each door takes a minimum of 8 days.. 2 coats primer/2 coats of paint.. (oil) and then dry dry dry. On both sides... SOOO its turning out to be my summer project.. but its quite rewarding!
